I am ridiculously excited to be photographing this couple for their wedding coming up in September of this year. Joy and Joaquin are very special people to me. I met Joaquin as one of my husband’s friends when my husband and I started dating in 2010. At the same time, Joy and Joaquin had also started dating. Since then all four of us have grown to know each other and I can say with no doubt that I am truly fortunate to know these two! Their personalities can not be matched, and I’m very happy to call them some of my closer friends.
There are so many inner connections within our friendships with each other. Joy is my favorite barista at my favorite coffee shop in Pueblo, The Daily Grind. Joaquin is a ridiculously talented tattoo artist at Arcanum Tattoo. I did a shoot for an interview he did with a local independent paper, The PULP. You can read that article and see the photos I took of him for the story by clicking here. I highly suggest his shop in Pueblo if you’re looking to get some new body art!
For Joy and Joaquin’s engagement session, they wanted to get really personal and include their children in the photos. I’ll have to point out these were the most difficult kids I’ve EVER worked with… and I loved every minute of it! You can see why :) I’d also like to mention that these two have inadvertently become my experiment shoot couple, meaning I have a handful more photos to share with you all in the near future!
Love the pictures as much as I love them. Beautiful!
